Documentary policy of libraries
Thematics
TBS Education library provides academic documentary collection on teached thematics at TBS: management, marketing, company and its environment to students and teachers’ school, on paper supports and electronic.
Many manuals are available in order to guide student during their studies (PGE to CFA) and specific books are proposed about Research. General and specialized journals are available to satisfy needs news. Finally, literature/general knowledge collection has been developed in order to comply with key values of the school, opening, agility and responsibility.
Criteria choices
The prescribers are firstly teachers and students second. Every demand is studied by the library according to the collection coherence. Programs Syllabus constitute a base for books purchases. The library is charged to purchase the last updated editions and more particularly manuals (Strategor, Initiation à la logique comptable, Comprendre l’analyse financière, Toeic, Toefl, Tage mage…).
The library ensures collection news guarantee and the regular weeding of collection in order to propose updated collections. TBS library ensures also information reliability and works with famous editors and authors for their academic skills.
Distribution of collection on both sites
Library’s collections are distributed on both sites. The collections of both sites are complementary. However, books and essential manuals are provided on both sites for practicality reasons.
A shuttle system permits to answer to demands more specialized. Due to its historic situation and its number of students, Alaric library proposes the most important collection. Digital documents are available on both sites.
Additional informations
Number of copies
Copies number decision leans on teacher/training management needs (essential book, number of students concerned…). The library doesn’t provide books given by students.
Documents support
Books are purchased in paper format and electronic format in order to ensure complementarity.
The digital way is more particularly used to answer to important volumes needs for a same book. Nethertheless, the library team stays tuned to uses of its public if that one prefers the paper format.
Publication language
These provided collections are in French and English. The essential books are bought in both languages, the other books are complementary according to the publication language.
The library provides also many methods and preparation manuals for living languages tests and foreign literature.
Classification
The classification is the ACIEGE’s thesaurus which is updated during national revisions.
Book classification number is made of the classification number, followed of the inventory number.
